Ingredients

 Softened butter1 Cup(16 tbs)
 Sugar1 1/2 Cup(16 tbs)
 Orange peel1 Tablespoon, grated
 Egg1
 Baking powder1 Teaspoon
 Salt1/2 Teaspoon
 Allspice1/2 Teaspoon
 Nutmeg3/4 Teaspoon
 Orange juice3 Tablespoon
 Flour3 Cup(16 tbs), sifted
 Diced candied orange peel

Directions

Cream butter and sugar .
Stir in orange peel .
Add egg; beat well.
Stir in orange juice; sift remaining dry ingredients together.
Add to first mixture gradually.
Mix well; wrap in foil.
Chill for 6 hours; roll 1/8 inch thick on lightly floured board cut in diamond shapes.
Fold the 2 longest points of each diamond to center, overlapping slightly.
Place piece of candied orange peel in center of each place on greased baking sheet.
Bake at 400° for 8 to 10 minutes; cool store in airtight container
