Spiced Cranberry Sauce Recipe Video

Ingredients

 
1 cup water
 
1 cup superfine sugar
 
zest from one lemon, grated
 
juice from 1/2 lemon
 
1 cinnamon stick, whole, about 3"
 
1/4 tsp ground cloves
 
12 oz fresh whole cranberries, picked over and soft berries discarded

Directions

Combine sugar, water, cinnamon stick, lemon zest, cloves and lemon juice
in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Add cranberries, return to a boil and
simmer over medium heat for about 10 mins, or until berries begin to pop or split.
Pour into a pretty bowl and cool to room temp. Cover with plastic wrap and
refrigerate until ready to serve (can keep for 1 week refrigerated)

Note: Mixture thickens as it cools
