Spiced Buttermilk Muffins Recipe

spiced buttermilk muffins are one ofmy favorite bakes, come halloween. These muffins are with pumpkin pie spice and buttermilk along with raisins and are special to me. Bake these at the next halloween but beware of requests for more.

Ingredients

 2 cups whole-wheat flour 500 mL
 All purpose flour2/3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Packed brown sugar2/3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Baking soda2 Teaspoon
 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice 5mL
 Buttermilk2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Raisins3/4 Cup (16 tbs)

Directions

In a large bowl, combine whole-wheat flour, all-purpose flour, sugar, baking soda and pumpkin pie spice.
Add buttermilk, stirring just until moistened.
Fold in raisins.
Spoon batter into prepared muffin tin, filling cups two-thirds full.
Bake in preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean and dry.
