Spiced Walnuts Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup walnut halves
Salad oil or shortening for deep frying
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon each nutmeg, cloves, and allspice
1/2 cup sugar
Directions
Fry nuts in hot deep fat (360°) about 5 minutes, or until golden brown.
Drain on absorbent paper; drop into a paper bag containing a mixture of the salt, spices, and sugar.
Shake bag to coat nuts well.
