 Dried prunes2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Water1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Vinegar1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Brown sugar1/2 Cup (16 tbs), firmly packed

Directions

Simmer prunes in 1 c water for 30 min.
In the meantime combine remaining 1/2 c water, the vinegar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and cloves, and boil gently for 15 min.
Drain prunes and add them to the spiced liquid; then cook slowly until liquid is, reduced and prunes are glazed.
Lift out prunes and arrange around a roast, or a platter of cold meats.
Makes about 30 spiced prunes.
