Spiced Orange Tea Cooler Recipe
Ingredients
| Oranges | 2 Large | |
| Spice | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Boiling water | 1 Quart | |
| Chopped ginger | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), candied | |
| Orange juice | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 7 Tablespoon | |
| Ice cubes | ||
| Orange | 6 | |
Directions
With a vegetable peeler, remove zest (colored part of peel) from oranges.
Bruise zest with back of a spoon to release fragrance.
In a tea pot, combine zest, flavored tea leaves, and boiling water.
Cover and steep for 5 to 7 minutes.
Strain; discard tea leaves and zest.
Add chopped ginger to tea and let cool.
Add orange juice and sugar; stir until sugar dissolves.
Pour tea over 6 ice-filled glasses; garnish each glass with an orange slice and mint, if desired.
