1 pound lean ground beef
 
1 egg, slightly beaten
 
1 teaspoon basil
 
1 teaspoon salt
 
Dash pepper
 
1 medium onion, finely chopped
 
1 clove garlic, pressed or minced
 
3 teaspoons instant beef bouillon dissolved in 3 cups hot water
 
1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
 
1 teaspoon ground cumin

Directions

Mix together ground beef, egg, basil, salt and pepper in medium mixing bowl.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls into (12 x 8 inch) utility dish.
MICROWAVE 3 to 4 MINUTES on HIGH, or until meat is set.
Drain fat, set meatballs aside.
Combine onions, garlic, beef broth, tomato paste and cumin in 2-quart casserole.
Mix well.
MICROWAVE 6 MINUTES on HIGH, or until mixture begins to boil.
Reduce setting.
Cover.
MICROWAVE 6 MINUTES on '6'.
Add meatballs to simmering stock, cover.
MICROWAVE 2 to 3 MINUTES on '6', or until meatballs are heated through.
