Ingredients

 Mandarin orange1 11 Ounce
 Salt1/4 Teaspoon
 Cinnamon stick6 Inch
 Whole Cloves1/2 Teaspoon
 2 3-ounce packages orange-flavored gelatin
 Cold water2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Lemon juice3 Tablespoon
 California walnuts1/2 Cup (16 tbs), broken

Directions

Drain oranges, reserving syrup.
Add vvater to syrup to make 1 3/4 cups.
In saucepan, combine syrup mixture, salt, and spices.
Cover and simmer 10 minutes; remove from heat; let stand covered 10 minutes to steep.
Strain.
Add gelatin to syrup mixture; stir over low heat till gelatin is dissolved.
Add cold water and lemon juice.
Chill till partially set.
Stir in oranges and nuts; turn into a 6 cup mold.
Chill till firm.
