| 1 tablespoon top-quality loose-leaf green tea | ||
| Sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/4 cup orange blossom honey | ||
| Whipping cream | 1 Pint | |
| Salt | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Lemon peel | 1 Teaspoon, freshly grated | |
| 1 teaspon fresh lemon juice | ||
| Vanilla extract | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Ground nutmeg | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Ground ginger | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Small amount moss-green paste food coloring or 3 drops liquid food coloring | ||
Directions
In a small saucepan, heat half and half over low heat until hot.
Add tea; remove from heat.
Steep 5 minutes.
Strain through a fine strainer into a large bowl.
Discard tea leaves.
Stir sugar and honey into hot mixture until dissolved; cool to room temperature.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Chill ice cream base; freeze in an ice cream machine according to manufacturer's directions.
