Spiced Cider Bowl Recipe
Ingredients
| Cider | 1 Gallon | |
| Light-brown, packed sugar - 1/2 cup (optional) | ||
| Cinnamon sticks - 8 to 10 (3-inch), broken into pieces | ||
| Allspice - 10 to 15 whole | ||
| Cloves - 20 to 25 whole | ||
| Red apples - 10 small, washed | ||
Directions
MAKING
1) In a 6-quart kettle add all ingredients except apples. Bring to boil.
2) Simmer and cook for 30 minutes.
3) Place double layer of cheesecloth over a bowl and strain the liquid.
4) Refrigerate cider.
SERVING
4) Reheat in a large kettle.
5) Put small apples on top.
6) Put a cinnamon-stick stirrer in each mug.
