Spiced Chinese Livers Recipe
Ingredients
| Chicken livers | 1 pound, halved | |
| Scallion | 1 Ounce, sliced | |
| Soy sauce | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Artificial sweetener to equal 1 tablespoon sugar | ||
| Lemon juice | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Root ginger | 1/2 Teaspoon, sliced | |
| Anise seed | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Sesame oil | 1 Teaspoon | |
Directions
In saucepan, pour boiling water over livers, drain, dry, and return to pan.
Add remaining ingredients except oil.
Cover pan and cook 10 minutes or until livers are done.
Transfer to bowl; stir in oil.
Cover and chill for several hours or overnight.
Remove livers from marinade; slice.
Serve cold with marinade.
Divide evenly.
