Spiced Beer Cake Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 cup light molasses | ||
| Cooking oil | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Eggs | 2 | |
| All purpose flour | 2 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking soda | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Ground ginger | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Ground cinnamon | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Ground cloves | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Ground nutmeg | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 1/2 cup dark or light beer | ||
| Raisins | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Walnuts | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Buttered Beer Sauce | ||
Directions
In mixing bowl combine molasses and oil.
Beat in eggs.
Stir together flour, soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg.
Beat into molasses mixture alternately with beer.
Stir in raisins and nuts.
Pour into greased and floured 13x9x2 inch baking pan.
Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
Remove from oven; cool slightly and cut in squares to serve.
Top with Buttered Beer Sauce and serve warm.
