2 Cups Sugar (white)
 
2 Cups Brown Sugar
 
2 Cups Raisins
 
2 Cups Salad Oil
 
4 Cups Water
 
2 Tsp. Cloves
 
2 Tsp. Nutmeg
 
2 Tsp. Salt
 
4 Tsp. Cinnamon
 
6 Cups Sifted Flour
 
4 Tsp. Soda
 
1 Tsp. Vanilla
 
1 Tsp. Lemon
 
2 Cups Walnuts

Directions

Combine first group of ingredients in a large kettle and boil one or two minutes; cool.
Combine second group of ingredients and add to first mixture.
Bake in greased and floured pan, 15" x 11", at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
Can be frozen for as long as 6 months.
