Spice Cake Recipe
This tangy light spice cake is flavored with cinnamon and cloves and is garnished with raisins. A truly delectable treat to make any occasion special!
Ingredients
1 cup sugar
2 cups raisins
2 tspns. cinnamon
1 tspn, nutmeg
1/2 cups water
1/2 cup butter
1 tspn, cloves
pinch salt
Directions
2 cups flour 1/2cup chopped nuts 1 tspn.
Bi-carb.
1 tspn, baking powder Beat by hand 200 times.
Pour into a long pan and bake at 350° F about 30 minutes.
Take from oven when top is shiny and centre is done.
Frost with: 4 tblspns, butter 1 tspn, maple flavouring 5 tblspns, cream powdered sugar (enough to make a spreading consistency).
Spread and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
