 3 cups cut up dates
 Cherries1 Cup (16 tbs), coarsely chopped
 1 cup chopped mixed peel
 Pecans1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
 Soft butter1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Sugar3/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Egg1
 All purpose flour1 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), sifted
 Soda1/2 Teaspoon
 Salt1/2 Teaspoon
 Cinnamon1/2 Teaspoon
 Nutmeg1/4 Teaspoon

Directions

Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Combine fruit and nuts.
Cream butter, sugar and egg together until fluffy.
Sift flour, soda, salt, spices and cocoa into creamed mixture, add fruit and nuts and blend thoroughly.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls on un-greased cookie
