Ingredients
Butter or margarine- 1/2 cup, melted
Salt- 1 1/2 teaspoons
Clove garlic-1 large, minced
Lemon juice- 2 tablespoons
Ketchup- 1/2 cup
Onion- 1/3 cup, diced
Worcestershire- 1 tablespoon
Tabasco- 4 drops
Quick-frozen split broilers or cut-up fryers- as required
Directions
MAKING
1.To prepare barbeque sauce, start by melting or margarine and mixing with other ingredients
2.Store covered and chill in the refrigerator
3.Meanwhile, thaw chicken according to package directions
4.On grill, place the chicken and set grill no higher than 2 to 3 inches above bed of glowing coals
5.Now brush chicken with barbecue sauce
6.Turn chicken every 5 minutes with long-handled fork or tongs (avoid piercing meat) and brush again with barbecue sauce
7.Keep a close watch at the grilling process
8.Reserve some of sauce for sprinkling over chicken before serving
9.Grill chicken 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until knife cuts easily into thickest part of drumstick and no pink color shows at bone
