Ingredients
3 lbs. spareribs, cracked through center
2 teaspoons salt
1 can (17 oz.) purple plums, drained (reserve 1/2 cup syrup)
1/2 cup thawed frozen orange juice concentrate
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Directions
Cut spareribs into serving-sized pieces; put on a rack in shallow roasting pan, meaty side up.
Sprinkle with salt.
Roast at 350°F 1 hour.
Meanwhile, force plums through a sieve.
Mix in plum syrup, orange juice concentrate, and Worcestershire sauce.
Pour off drippings from roasting pan and remove rack.
Spoon one-half of plum sauce over ribs.
Roast 20 minutes.
Turn ribs and spoon on remaining sauce.
Roast 25 minutes longer, or until meat is tender.
