Spareribs In Cherry Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 pieces loin ribs | ||
| Fat | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 1 No. 2 can sour cherries | ||
| Cloves | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), crushed | |
| Brown sugar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Dry mustard | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Flour | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Vinegar | 3 Tablespoon | |
Directions
Cut spareribs into 3-rib portions.
Brown in hot fat in skillet.
Remove from skillet; keep hot.
Drain cherries; reserve juice.
Add reserved juice, cloves, garlic, brown sugar, mustard, salt, flour, vinegar, and 1 cup water to skillet.
Cook, stirring constantly, until sauce is thick and smooth.
Return ribs to skillet; add cherries.
Cook, covered, on top of stove gradually for 11/2 hours.
Baste frequently with sauce.
