 Beef round1 Pound, cut in 1 1/2-inch cubes
 Fat2 Tablespoon
 Salt2 Teaspoon
 Black pepper1⁄4 Teaspoon
 Water3 Cup (48 tbs)
 Ham1⁄4 Pound, chopped
 Onion1 , chopped
 Garlic1 Clove (5 gm), minced
 Tomatoes2 , chopped
 Green peppers2 , chopped
 Spanish sausages2 , cut in 1 inch pieces
 Cabbage1⁄2 Small, shredded
 Carrots3 , scraped and cut in 1-inch pieces
 Potatoes1 Pound, quartered
 Green beans1⁄2 Pound, cut in 1 inch pieces
 Canned chickpeas1 Pound (Drained)

Directions

Brown beef on all sides in fat in deep kettle.
Add salt, pepper, water, ham, onion, garlic, tomatoes, and green peppers; bring to a boil.
Cover.
Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour; add remaining ingredients.
Cook for 30 minutes, or until meat and vegetables are tender.
