Spanish Steak Recipe
The spanish steak is prepared with a round steak along with grated cheese. Cooked in the oven, the spanish steak is flavored with tomatoes and onions along with bacon, mustard and worcestershire sauce. Served with a platter of mashed potatoes and crisp veggies, the spanish steak makes a delightful meal.
Ingredients
2 lb. round steak, chopped
1 egg, well beaten
1/2 c. milk
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp. prepared mustard
1 tbsp. minced onion
2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 No. 2 can tomatoes, drained
1 c. grated cheese
6 strips bacon
Directions
Combine chopped meat, egg, milk, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, onion, salt and pepper;pack into a loaf pan.
Cover top with tomatoes.
Cover with grated cheese; lay bacon strips in a row over cheese.
Bake in 375-degree oven for 1 hour.
