Spanish Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
Butter or margarine - 2 tablespoons
Onion - 2/3 cup, chopped
Green pepper - 2 tablepsoons, chopped
Garlic - 1 clove, finely chopped
Tomato sauce - 2 cans ( 8 oz)
Mixed sweet pickles - 1/4 cup, chopped
Sugar - 1 tablespoon
Dried oregano leaves - 1/4 teaspoon
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Pepper - 1/8 teaspoon
Directions
MAKING
1) In a medium saucepan, heat the butter and saute onion, green pepper, and garlic until tender, about 5 minutes.
2) Add remaining ingredients and let the mixture boil.
3) Lower the heat; simmer gently for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
SERVING
4) Serve the Spanish sauce with omelet, or over meat loaf.
