Herbed Spanish Rice Recipe
Ingredients
| Green bell pepper | 1/2 Cup(16 tbs), chopped | |
| Onion | 1/4 Cup(16 tbs), chopped | |
| Garlic | 1 clove, minced | |
| Dried basil | 1/2 Teaspoon, crushed | |
| Dried rosemary | 1/2 Teaspoon, crushed | |
| 2 tablespoons olive oil or cooking oil | ||
| Long grain rice | 1 Cup(16 tbs) | |
| Tomato | 1 Cup(16 tbs), chopped | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
Directions
In skillet cook green pepper, onion, garlic, basil, and rosemary in hot oil till vegetables are tender.
Stir in rice, chopped tomato, salt, pepper, and 2 cups water.
Cook, covered, over low heat for about 20 minutes or till rice is done.
