My version of the Spanish Main cocktail using dark rum, Licor 43 Spanish liqueur and a syrup of India tea, cinnamon and cloves.

Directions

MAKING
1. For the tea syrup: Add sugar, water, black tea, cinnamon stick and cloves into a small saucepan and bring to a boil on a very slow simmer.
2. Continue to simmer for 10 mins, stirring occasionally.
3. Let cool and refrigerate.
4. To make the cocktail: In a rocks glass with ice, add the Licor 43, Pusser’s Navy Rum and 1/2 ounce of the tea syrup.

SERVING
5. Stir, sip and savor.
