Spanish Macaroni Casserole Recipe

Ingredients

 
1 c. macaroni
 
2 T. margarine or butter
 
2 T. flour
 
1/2 t. salt
 
1 1/2 c. milk
 
1/2 c. diced celery
 
1 1/2 c. canned tomatoes
 
1/4 c. chopped onion
 
1/2 c. grated cheese
 
F.g. salt and pepper

Directions

1. Cook macaroni in 5 cups boiling salted water until tender.
2. Prepare white sauce with margarine, flour, salt and milk.
3. Drain and rinse macaroni. Add celery, tomatoes, onion, cheese, salt and pepper.
4. Place in a greased casserole. Pour over white sauce and sprinkle with 1/4 cup grated cheese.
5. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
