Spanish French Toast Recipe
Ingredients
| Frying Oil | 2 Cup (16 tbs) (For frying) | |
| 1 loaf Continental Bread | ||
| Eggs | 2 | |
| Cinnamon | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Water | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Powdered sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs), sifted | |
Directions
Heat oil to 370°F in large, heavy saucepan.
Slice bread into 8 thick slices; discard ends.
Cut 2 circles from each slice, using biscuit cutter.
Beat eggs until fluffy.
Add cinnamon and water; mix well.
Dip both sides of each bread circle into egg mixture.
Do not soak, or bread will fall apart.
Fry in oil until light brown on each side.
Remove from oil; drain on brown paper bag.
Sift powdered sugar over each side.
