Ingredients

 Garlic6 Clove (5gm), crushed
 Onions3 , chopped
 Green peppers2 To taste, chopped
 Ground beef1 1/2 Pound
 Sausage1/2 Pound
 2 Ige. cans tomato paste
 Tomato sauce2 Can (10oz)
 Beef Stock4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Oregano1/2 Teaspoon
 Dry mustard1 Tablespoon
 Basil1 Teaspoon
 Sugar1 Tablespoon
 Monosodium glutamate1 Tablespoon
 Salt To Taste
 Pepper To Taste

Directions

Ground garlic in 3/8 cup fat in skillet; discard.
Add onions and green peppers; stir well.
Cook until light brown.
Crumble beef and sausage in skillet; cook, stirring, until browned.
Set aside; pour off fat.
Place beef mixture in large Dutch oven.
Add tomato paste and sauce; stir thoroughly.
Rinse skillet with small amount of stock; add to kettle.
Add remaining stock to make soupy mixture.
Add oregano, mustard, basil, sugar, monosodium glutamate, salt and pepper; stir well.
Simmer, covered, for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
Correct seasoning.
