Spaghetti Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
8 oz (250 g) spaghetti
8 oz (250 g) beef or pork, minced
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 cup (125 mL) celery with leaves, diced
1 carrot, grated (optional)
1 tsp (5 mL) basil
1 tsp (5 mL) savory
1 19-oz (540 mL) can tomatoes
1 tsp (5 mL) salt
1 tsp (5 mL) sugar
1/2 tsp (2 mL) fresh ground pepper
Directions
Microwave the spaghetti.
Place in a microwave-safe baking dish the minced beef or pork, break it up with a fork.
Add the onion, celery, carrot, basil and savory.
Mix together.
Microwave, uncovered, 8 minutes at HIGH, stirring 2 or 3 times.
Add the remaining ingredients.
Mix thoroughly.
Microwave 4 minutes at HIGH.
Cover and let stand 10 minutes.
Serve.
