Directions

the sauce:
I. in a large sauce pan, put in the ground beef add some water about 2 and half cup. let it boil, stirring occasionally and simmer until the beef produce it's own oil while the water completely evaporates. let the beef be cooked on it's own oil until tender and golden brown. if the beef doesn't produce it's own oil, you can add cooking oil.
II. once beef is tender and brown, add the onion, garlic and hotdogs. saute for a few minutes. turn heat to low.
III. add the spaghetti sauce or tomato paste, stir, add the water, salt, tomato catsup, sugar. stir. cover. wait for it to boil while occasionally stirring it.
IV. while waiting for the sauce to boil. you can now start boiling the pasta. by the many variants of pasta available in the market i usually prefer durum semolina types. don't forget to add oil and salt when cooking the pasta.
V. while occasionally stirring the sauce so it won't stick to the pan. you can start slicing the hard boiled eggs into thin slices. set aside for garnishing (optional).
VI. once the sauce is boiling, turn heat to low. stir and simmer for few minutes. sprinkle the ground black pepper according to your taste, add more catsup, salt or sugar if you want. stir and turn off heat.
VII. drain the pasta well in a large strainer while it runs in a faucet of cold water. drain once more.
VIII. set the pasta on a each platter. pour in some sauce on top. garnish it with grated cheddar cheese and few slices of hard boiled egg (optional).
IX. serve with a bread toast and an iced cola or iced tea.

thank you all! ganesh, this spaghetti that i've presented is a modified version in my country the philippines, so it isn't the typical pasta that you could see or eat in an italian restaurant. the nationals living in the philippines are called filipinos (just like the nationals living in the us are called americans). though the spaghetti is presented in a filipino way, it is still called a spaghetti we just add to it's name "filipino styled" to let us know how it was presented. it's just like having a "carbonara" or in english it is known as white spaghetti since americans use cream as the main sauce, and btw italians don't use cream in their recipe but it's still a spaghetti! it's just "styled" in a way to cater the american taste. you could say that it's a fusion type of cuisine. hope that answers it. sorry about the confusion that i've caused.

Filipino style means - this food was made the Philippine way. The spaghetti was made added with catsup and hotdog. Not sure if anybody else make it this way.
