Spaghetti Alfredo Recipe
Ingredients
12 large mushrooms, sliced
10 mL 2 tsp margarine
250 mL 1 cup 15% cream
25 mL 2 tbsp dry white wine or unsweetened apple juice
15 mL 1 tbsp concentrated chicken broth
125 mL 1/2 cup Sbrinz cheese
50 mL 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
250 mL 1 cup cooked ham, cut into diamonds
500 g 1 lb spaghetti, cooked
Directions
In a pan, brown the mushrooms in the margarine.
Add the cream, white wine or apple juice and the chicken broth.
Cook for 5 minutes over medium-low heat.
Add the Sbrinz cheese and the Parmesan; allow them to melt.
Add the ham and reduce the heat to low.
Add the spaghetti, mix well and arrange on a plate.
