 Spaghetti1 pound
 Olive oil1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced or crushed in a press
 Red pepper flakes1/4 Teaspoon, crushed (OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS)
 Toasted pine nuts1/3 Cup (16 tbs) (OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS)
 Kosher salt and coarsely ground pepper, to taste

Directions

1. Bring a large pot of water to boil. Add the spaghetti.
2. Heat a large skillet over medium-low heat and add the oil. When the oil is hot, add the garlic and crushed red pepper flakes, if desired, and saute until the garlic is golden, about 3 minutes.
3. Cook the pasta until it is al dente. Drain cooked pasta and add it to the garlic and olive oil mixture in skillet. Add salt and pepper to taste.
