Homemade Italian Spaghetti Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| Onions - 1-1/2 cups chopped | ||
| Green peppers | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped (Special oil - 1 tablespoon) | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm) (Special oil - 1 tablespoon) | |
| Tomatoes | 1 Can (10oz) (Special oil - 1 tablespoon) | |
| Bay leaf | 1 (Special oil - 1 tablespoon) | |
| Basil | 1/2 Teaspoon (Special oil - 1 tablespoon) | |
| Salt | 3/4 Teaspoon (Special oil - 1 tablespoon) | |
| Ground black pepper | 1/2 Teaspoon (Special oil - 1 tablespoon) | |
| Mushrooms | 1/2 pound, sliced (Special oil - 1 tablespoon) | |
| Parsley | 2 Tablespoon, minced (Special oil - 1 tablespoon) | |
Directions
MAKING
1.In a saucepan, heat oil and cook onions and green peppers in it until brown.
2.Put garlic, tomatoes, bay leaf, salt, pepper and basil in the pan and cook on low flame for 120 minutes.
3.Add mushrooms and parsley and cook for 30 more minutes.
4.Remove the bay leaf.
5.Blend the mixture in a blender.
SERVING
6.Serve as a condiment.
