Recipe Story

This recipe is very similar to Tarla Dalal's recipe of 'Soya Mutter ki Subzi' , But I have made my own slight variations to it and the dish has come out pretty well!!

Ingredients

 Soy chunk2 Cup (32 tbs)
 Onions1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
 Tomatoes4 , chopped
 Green peas1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
 Gram flour1 Tablespoon (Besan)
 Curd1 Tablespoon
 Green chilies3 , slit lengthwise
 Mustard1⁄2 Teaspoon
 Jeera1⁄2 Teaspoon (Cumin)
 Ginger garlic paste1 Teaspoon
 Turmeric powder1⁄4 Teaspoon
 Coriander powder1 Teaspoon (Dhaniya Powder)
 Chili powder2 Teaspoon
 Garam masala powder1 Teaspoon
 Salt To Taste

Directions

Wash Soya Chunks & boil them with 2 cups of water for 15 minutes or until water evaporates. Keep aside

Heat oil in a vessel, when hot, add mustard & allow them to splutter. Add jeera, onions, ginger garlic paste, curry leaves, chillies and saute until onions turn light brown.

Add tomatoes, besan, green peas, curds, turmeric, dhaniya, garam masala, chilli and salt. Add little water & bring to boil

When the mixture thickens, add the soya chunks & bring to another boil

Garnish with cilantro

Serve Hot with Rice/ Rotis

Looks good! I like soya nuggets ! So will surely try this out. Another variation you might want to try is soya nuggets with lobiya (small white kidney beans or chowli)
