Soy Sesame Burgers Recipe
Ingredients
| Soybeans | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cracked wheat | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2-3 tablespoons tamari soy sauce or 2-3 teaspoons sea salt | ||
| 3 tablespoons unrefined oil | ||
| Onion | 1/2 Medium, finely chopped | |
| Sesame seeds | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Whole wheat flour | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Water | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Whole wheat flour | ||
| Unrefined safflower oil for frying | ||
Directions
Rinse the soybeans in cold water.
Cover the beans and wheat with water and soak them separately 12 to 24 hours, adding more water if needed to keep the beans covered.
Drain both.
Grind the soaked beans in a hand grinder or 1/3 cup at a time in a blender.
Mix all the ingredients together, adjusting the amount of flour and water as needed to bind the ingredients together.
Shape into patties.
Dip in flour.
Fry in a little oil.
Serve with homemade buns and all the trimmings.
