Soy Honey Spareribs Recipe
Ingredients
| 4 pounds fresh pork spareribs, cut into serving pieces | ||
| 1 1/2 cups beef broth or bouillon | ||
| Soy sauce | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Honey | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cider vinegar | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Sherry | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 1 teaspoon finely chopped ginger root or 2 teaspoons ground ginger | ||
| 2 medium cloves garlic, finely chopped, or 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder | ||
| Green onion tassels | ||
Directions
Place spareribs in shallow glass or plastic dish.
Mix beef broth, soy sauce, honey, vinegar, sherry, sugar, salt, ginger root and garlic; pour over ribs.
Cover and refrigerate, turning ribs 2 or 3 times, at least 6 hours.
Remove ribs from marinade; reserve marinade.
Arrange ribs meaty sides up in single layer on rack in foil-lined broiler pan.
Cover and cook in 350° oven 45 minutes.
Brush ribs with marinade.
Cook uncovered, brushing occasionally with marinade, until tender, about 50 minutes.
Garnish with green onion tassels.
