Southern Pecan Pie Recipe
Ingredients
vegetable shortening pastry for 1 crust pie
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup sugar
1 cup dark corn syrup
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup pecans
Directions
Line 9 inch pie plate with pastry.
Combine eggs, sugar, corn syrup, butter, and vanilla.
Blend thoroughly; stir in pecans.
Pour into unbaked pastry shell.
Bake at 350° for 45 to 60 minutes, until knife inserted just off center comes out clean.
