Ingredients

 
1 package (6-serving size) JELL-O® Vanilla or Banana Cream Flavor Pudding and Pie Filling
 
3 3/4 cups milk
 
3 eggs, separated
 
2 1/2 dozen vanilla wafers
 
2 large bananas, sliced
 
Dash salt
 
1/3 cup sugar

Directions

Combine pudding mix, milk and egg yolks in medium saucepan; blend well.
Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a full boil; set aside.
Arrange layer of vanilla wafers in bottom of 2-quart baking dish.
Place a layer of banana slices over wafers in dish.
Spoon a layer of pudding over bananas.
Continue layering wafers, bananas and pudding, ending with pudding.
With electric mixer at medium speed, beat egg whites with salt until foamy.
Gradually beat in sugar.
Beat at high speed until mixture forms stiff shiny peaks.
Lightly pile meringue on pudding, sealing edges well.
Bake in preheated 425° oven for 5 to 10 minutes or until meringue is lightly browned.
Serve warm or chilled.
