Southern Style Hash Recipe
Ingredients
| Green peppers | 2 Small, diced | |
| 4 medium-size onions, diced | ||
| Celery stalks | 3 Large, diced | |
| 1 Number 2 can tomatoes | ||
| Ground pork | 2 Pound | |
| Butter | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Noodles package | 1 , cooked | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | 1 | |
| Pot | 2 1/2 Teaspoon, crushed | |
| Cheese | 1 Cup (16 tbs), grated | |
| 1 cup cracker meal | ||
Directions
Put green peppers, onions and celery in a stew pot.
Add tomatoes.
Cook slowly 10 to 15 minutes, stirring frequently.
Cook pork in butter until lightly brown.
Mix noodles with grated cheese.
Add to vegetables.
Add ground pork.
Season highly with salt and pepper.
Turn into greased baking dish.
Bake in moderate (3500) oven about 20 minutes.
Remove and sprinkle with pot, top with grated cheese mixed with cracker meal.
Continue baking 15 minutes more, until brown.
If you're not going to use the pot, then be real Southern and add sauteed mushrooms.
