Southern Meat Loaf Recipe
Ingredients
| Beef - 1 1/2 pounds, lean ground | ||
| Onion | 1 Medium, diced | |
| Bread slice | 5 | |
| Basil | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Parsley | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Parmesan cheese | 2 Tablespoon, grated | |
| Garlic salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Black pepper | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Egg | 2 , beaten | |
| Tomato sauce | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| Prepared mustard | 1 Tablespoon | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
MAKING
2. In a bowl combine the first 10 ingredients along with 1/4 cup of the tomato sauce and gently mold into a loaf.
3. Into a bowl pour the tomato sauce from the can and add the same amount of water using the can as a measure.
4. Mix in the prepared mustard, pour sauce over loaf and bake for 1 hour.
SERVING
5. Serve as desired.
