Southern Hot Egg Bread Recipe
Ingredients
| Cornmeal | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Soda | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Baking powder | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Eggs | 2 , beaten | |
| 2 cups sour milk or buttermilk | ||
| 2 tablespoons melted shortening or vegetable oil | ||
Directions
Combine dry ingredients; add eggs, milk, and shortening.
Mix well.
Pour into a greased 8-inch square pan; bake at 425° for 20 to 30 minutes.
