Southern Drop Biscuits Recipe
Ingredients
| Flour | 2 Cup (32 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 3⁄4 Teaspoon | |
| Soda | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Cream of tartar | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Shortening | 4 Tablespoon | |
| Buttermilk | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Butter | 1 Stick |
Directions
Sift dry ingredients together twice and place in a bowl.
Cut in the shortening until well mixed.
Add the buttermilk and stir well.
Drop by tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
Place a pat of butter on each biscuit.
Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes.
