Ingredients
| Yellow onion | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), minced | |
| 1/2 cup minced sweet green pepper | ||
| Garlic | 2 Clove (5gm), crushed | |
| Olive oil | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Chili powder | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Tomato puree | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Red wine vinegar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/3 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar | ||
| 1/4 teaspoon crushed dried hot red chili peppers | ||
| Salt | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
MAKING
1. Take a saucepan and heat oil over it
2. Stir fry the onions, green pepper and garlic over a medium flame for eight minutes or until the onion turns a light golden
3. Add chilli power now and stir fry for another couple of minutes
4. Add in the rest of the ingredients, cover and simmer for half an hour
SERVING
5. Can be used as basting sauce fro beef, spareribs and even poultry
