Soused Mackerel Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 lbs. mackerel or herring | ||
| Vinegar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 thin slices onion | ||
| Mixed spices | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Fillet and skin fish; cut into 6 pieces.
Put fish into a baking dish.
Add vinegar, onion, spices, salt, and water.
Cover dish.
Bake at 350°F 20 to 30 minutes.
Serve hot or cold.
