Sourdough Bread Recipe
This Sourdough bread makes a sumptuous lunch with a generous helping of salads ! Pour your favorite spicy sauces over the Sourdough bread sandwich and enjoy the course ! Try out with any other filling of your desire and tell me the stuffing you liked it best with!
Ingredients
| Warm water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Yeast | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Sourdough | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Molasses | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Whole wheat flour | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 cups allpurpose flour | ||
Directions
Combine warm water, yeast, and salt in Bosch mixing bowl, Allow yeast to activate.
Add Sourdough starter, molasses, and 3 cups whole wheat flour.
Mix well.
Add the allpurpose flour and enough of the remaining whole wheat flour to cause dough to pull away from the sides of the bowl.
Knead 10 to 12 minutes.
Divide in half, and shape into two loaves.
Place in two wellgreased 7 1/2 x 3 1/2 x 2 inch loaf pans.
Cover, and allow to rise until double.
Bake in a 350° F.oven for 45 minutes.
Remove from pans, and cool on wire racks.
Add Sourdough starter, molasses, and 3 cups whole wheat flour.
