Sour Milk Doughnuts Recipe
Ingredients
| Sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sour cream or shortening- 2 tablespoons | ||
| Eggs | 3 Small | |
| Lemon extract | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Sour milk | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking soda | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Baking powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Nutmeg | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Flour | 4 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), sifted | |
Directions
MAKING
1.In a bowl, mix sugar along with cream then add beaten eggs, lemon extract and sour milk
2.In another bowl, sift remaining dry ingredients with 1 cup of flour
3.Now add this mixture to the sugar mixture
4.Also add more flour to make the dough stiff enough to handle
5.On a floured board, place the dough
6.Roll out the dough and cut it
7.In a pan, place the dough and fry in hot deep fat

8.Serve with cream or coffee
