Sour Cream Fruit Drops Recipe

1/2 cup butter or margarine
 
1 cup brown sugar, packed
 
1/2 cup granulated sugar
 
2 eggs
 
1 cup sour cream
 
1 teaspoon vanilla
 
2 1/2 cups robin hood presifted all purpose flour
 
1/2 teaspoon soda
 
1 teaspoon salt
 
1 teaspoon cinnamon
 
1/4 teaspoon cloves
 
1 cup chopped dates
 
1 cup chopped glace cherries
 
2 cups raisins
 
1 cup chopped nuts
 
1 tablespoon grated orange rind

Directions

Cream butter and sugars together.
Add eggs and beat well.
Stir in sour cream and vanilla.
Measure dry ingredients into a bowl.
Stir thoroughly to blend.
Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture.
Stir in fruit, nuts and orange rind.
Chill 1 hour.
Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart on lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375° F. (moderate) for 10 to 12 minutes.
Yield 5 dozen approximately.
