Sour Cream Chocolate Cake Recipe
Ingredients
1/2 cup cocoa 125 mL
4 tbs hot water 60 mL
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cups white sugar 375 mL
1 tsp salt 5 mL
1 cup sour whipping cream 250 mL
2 cups all purpose flour 500 mL
1 tsp soda 5 mL
1 tsp baking powder 5 mL
1 tsp vanilla 5 mL
Directions
Mix cocoa and hot water together.
Beat eggs, add sugar and salt and beat together well.
Add sour cream, then cocoa mixture.
Sift together flour, soda and baking powder and add with the vanilla to the mixture.
Turn into greased layer cake pans.
Bake 25 minutes at 375F (190C).
