Sour Cream Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1/4 cup sour cream
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions
In bowl, cream together sugar and butter; add sour cream, egg, and vanilla.
Combine remaining ingredients.
With wooden spoon (do not use mixer) add to creamed mixture.
Drop by level teaspoons, about 2 inches apart, onto well-greased baking sheet.
Sprinkle with additional sugar.
Bake 6-8 minutes, until lightly browned.
Let stand 1 minute before removing to baking rack to cool.
