Sour Cream Chocolate Drops Recipe
|All purpose flour||2 3⁄4 Cup (44 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Corn flakes||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Unsweetened chocolate square||3 Ounce, divided (Three 1 Ounce Pieces)|
|Shortening||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), softened|
|Sugar||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Sour cream||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Commercial)|
|Vanilla extract||1 Teaspoon|
|Powdered sugar||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs), sifted|

Add corn flakes; set aside.
In top of double boiler, over hot water, melt 2 squares of the chocolate.
Beat shortening, sugar, and eggs until light and fluffy about 5 minutes.
Beat in sour cream, vanilla extract and dry ingredients, then chocolate; beat just until combined.
Chill dough for 1 hour.
Drop dough by rounded teaspoonsful, 2 inches apart, onto lightly greased cookie sheets; bake at 425° for 8 to 10 minutes.
Cool on wire racks.
Meanwhile, melt remaining chocolate with butter.
Add milk and powdered sugar; stir until smooth.
Use to frost cooled cookies.
