Sour Cream Anise Cookies Recipe
The flavor of this Sour Cream Anise Cookies recipe has played on my senses so much that I hardly ever go for any other Sour Cream Anise Cookies recipe. Best enjoyed as a Snack this recipe was taught to me by a dear friend who also happens to be a great chef. Serve this Sour Cream Anise Cookies at the table today and watch it disappear in delight!
Ingredients
1 cup shortening
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup honey
1 cup (8 ounces) sour cream
3 eggs
3-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
3/4 teaspoon aniseed
1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions
In a mixing bowl, cream shortening and sugar.
Add the honey, sour cream and eggs; beat well.
Combine flour, baking soda, aniseed and salt; add to creamed mixture and mix well.
Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 in.apart onto greased baking sheets.
Bake at 350° for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned.
Cool on a wire rack.
