Soup 'N Sausage Recipe

Ingredients

 
1/2 cup lentils
 
1/2 lb. Polish sausage, sliced
 
1 cup minced onion
 
1/2 cup chopped pared carrots
 
1/2 cup chopped celery
 
1 can (16 oz.) tomato sauce
 
2 cups water
 
Pinch leaf basil
 
Pinch leaf marjoram
 
1 bay leaf
 
1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

Completely soften beans as directed .
In skillet, brown sliced sausage; drain well.
Combine softened lentils and browned sausage in crock pot.
Add remaining ingredients and stir to mix.
Cover and cook on low setting for 10 to 12 hours (on high setting for 4 to 5 hours).
Taste for seasoning.
